The College Name
Dr Redmond Prendiville was Archbishop of Perth from 1933 to 1969. This period saw a remarkable growth of Catholic primary and secondary education in Western Australia. Under his spiritual leadership, a Catholic education was made possible for the majority of Catholic families across this vast, lightly populated State.
The College is honoured to bear witness in its name to this great church leader - a witness to posterity of his unique gift to Catholic education. Archbishop Prendiville is fondly remembered for his pastoral concern for others.
