Education Support

Prendiville Catholic College’s Education Support Centre provides a caring, nurturing and supportive learning environment with experienced, qualified staff who have a real passion for working with students with special educational needs. The main aim of the Centre is to assist all of the students to reach their full potential where they minimise dependence and maximise independence.

The Education Support Functional Program is an example of the College's commitment to being an inclusive community where the acceptance of difference is seen as the norm and where all of the Prendiville community focuses on all of the students’ abilities rather than their disabilities.

Functional programs are tailored to meet student's individual needs where all students have the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and understandings in a range of different contexts. Across the years, students develop and build skills necessary for future employment, independent living and ultimately participation in the wider community.

All students as part of Education Support have an Individual Education Plan that acknowledges student’s existing knowledge and skills and looks to build upon these to help each student achieve their full potential.
